A participating school selects one of these three examination dates. Students cannot independently choose which date they want to appear on. SOF also states that separate question papers are used for the different dates and a selected examination date cannot subsequently be changed.

Who Can Participate in SOF ISO 2026-27?

SOF ISO is available to students from Classes 1 through 12.

A student does not have to be a science topper before participating.

What Is the ISO Achievers Section?

Does SOF ISO Include the Previous Class Syllabus?

SOF ISO will have a second-level examination for eligible students in Classes 3–12.

The final date has not yet been announced. SOF says the date will be announced by December 2026, with Level 2 tentatively planned for the second or third Sunday of February 2027.

Students from Classes 1 and 2 do not participate in Level 2.

Another important difference is that SOF states Level 2 questions are based only on the student's current class syllabus, whereas Level 1 includes both current and previous class material.
